With new power into 2012
Looking back at 2011 we see that the vario-optics team made real progress in several aspects. Additional customer projects have been started; currently 12 customer projects are ongoing. They cover two important markets, sensors and data-/telecom. The majority of these projects should lead to series manufacturing.
The start of the series production of the PH-electrode for Metrohm was certainly the highlight for our company. The sensor was presented at the “Sensor + Test” conference in Nuremberg where it gained high interest. For vario-optics, this is certainly an important step from engineering to a series manufacturing of electro-optical circuit boards.
This is basis for the engagement of Daniel Meier (see picture, 2nd from the right) exactly at the right time. He became acquainted with the EOCB technology very quickly and he is mainly responsible for the series production of the optical layers.
The uncertainty within the Eurozone and in the general world economy requires caution. However, we are looking positive into the future due to our strong market position and our technical competences on a high level. Therefore, we step over into the next year with great confidence.
